Satthuvi’s Bio
Satthuvi is a Sramana Monk and an Inner Evolution Teacher whose journey from childhood trauma to life success and then to profound spiritual awakening defines his life’s mission. After battling severe depression following his parents’ separation and divorce, a series of prophetic dreams pulled him toward spirituality. He entered a Catholic seminary intending to become a missionary, but disillusionment with institutional corruption led him to pursue an academic path that included Philosophy, Psychology, Politics and many other subjects instead, starting his career as teacher and university lecturer.
In London, Satthuvi rose to success as an international executive and property millionaire. Yet the pressures of big city life and the emotional fallout of the global financial crisis reignited a deeper search for meaning—a nine-year Spiritual Quest that brought no lasting peace. In a final act of surrender, he entered a 44-day meditation and water fast, which triggered a powerful awakening.
This experience led him to Asia, where he trained for four years under Theravada, Tibetan, and Zen masters, eventually ordaining as a Buddhist monk. There, he mastered advanced meditation and energy healing, and received the directive from his root teacher to dedicate his life to healing, teaching, and service and followed his example as an independent monk connecting with the most ancient Sramana tradition that the Sakyamuni Buddha himself came from.
Returning to Europe, Satthuvi founded his unique approach to transformation—blending ancient spiritual wisdom with modern therapeutic tools. His Energy Work, Healing, Therapies and Mentorship practices became especially sought-after during the global pandemic, guiding people through deep transformation in uncertain times.

Troubled Childhood
Satthuvi’s mission is to serve as an Inner Evolution Teacher and his life has been forged through the fires of trauma, healing, and awakening. His path—from a turbulent childhood to deep spiritual realisation—has shaped a unique approach to Energy Healing, Therapy, and Mentorship that helps others reclaim clarity, strength and purpose that leads to inner peace.
What he teaches isn’t theory—it’s lived experience. His method is grounded in hard-won lessons and inner transformation, offering practical guidance to those navigating emotional pain, spiritual disconnection, or major life transitions.
From a young age, Satthuvi experienced vivid prophetic dreams—visions that began at age seven and intensified as his family life unravelled. His parents' divorce triggered a deep depression that became the first catalyst in his lifelong search for truth, meaning, and healing.
Seeking Escape
In search of meaning, Satthuvi turned to spirituality and joined a Catholic seminary, intending to become a priest and missionary to remote cannibal tribes in Indonesia. However, his idealism was soon shattered by the moral corruption he witnessed within the institution. Disillusioned, he left the seminary and redirected his path toward academic studies in Philosophy, Psychology, Politics and many other subjects and earned a number of degrees—driven by a deep need to understand the human condition and the nature of suffering that led to a career as a university teacher.
Relocating to London, Satthuvi rose to the highest levels of corporate management, becoming a top level international executive for several global corporations and building significant wealth as a property investor. Yet the relentless pace of city life, combined with the emotional impact of the global financial crisis, triggered mounting stress, anxiety, and a profound inner emptiness.
It was in this crucible that his spiritual quest reignited—this time, with greater urgency and a hunger for truth that no success or status could satisfy.
Metanoic Experience
For nine years, Satthuvi devoted himself entirely to the search for Ultimate Truth—plunging into many types of meditation, mastering yoga and martial arts, immersing himself in therapy, and exploring countless spiritual traditions. He amassed credentials of a yoga teacher, martial arts instructor, psychotherapist, practitioner of myriad healing modalities. Yet none of it answered the searing questions that haunted his darkest nights: Is there reality beyond what our senses perceive? Does God—or any Higher Power—truly exist? Why are we here? What is the meaning of life?
Driven to desperation, he made a final vow: to meditate without eating any food, just water fasting, until he either awakened to the Truth or perished in the attempt.
Forty-four days later, after a cascade of impossible encounters and revelations, the man he believed himself to be was shattered—and reborn. A metanoic explosion of consciousness tore through him, leaving months of unbearable bliss in its wake. He wandered, dazed, through his garden, barely able to function, mesmerized by the trembling of leaves, the hum of existence.
When his strength returned—when some sense of "self" reassembled—an unshakable call pulled him toward Asia. He had to understand the mystery that cracked him him wide open.
Meeting the Masters
In Sri Lanka, Satthuvi reunited with a mysterious Buddhist monk known simply as the Master—a man who had spent over 20 years in solitary forest meditation, developing powerful techniques to channel Universal Energy. The Master had first appeared to Satthuvi in his astral form while he was still in England, eventually becoming his root teacher and guide. Under his instruction, Satthuvi learned to harness energy for healing, vitality, and inner power. A leading figure in Sri Lanka’s Theravada Esoteric Tradition, the Master initiated Satthuvi into the rarely-taught Kammatthana Meditation. He lived in a remote kuti within the monastery, fully immersed in the practice.
His journey didn’t stop there. Satthuvi lived for 4 years in many countries in South East Asia including Bali, Indonesia, encountering and learning from teachers, healers and various life mavericks. In India, Satthuvi encountered a Tibetan Master who introduced him to the sacred teachings of Phowa, Tantra, and the elusive Rainbow Body. From there, he journeyed to Japan and Korea, where he studied Zen in traditional monasteries. In time, Satthuvi learned from many masters and absorbed the wisdom of all three major Buddhist traditions—Hinayana, Mahayana, and Vajrayana—allowing him to understand his original experience of Awakening.
Healing the World
After completing rigorous training, Satthuvi was ordained as a Buddhist monk in a tradition that comes from Japanese Zen and allows marriages but he never forgot the words of his root teacher: “Your path is to heal, teach, and serve” and so he followed his root teacher’s example of an independent monk connecting with the most ancient Sramana tradition that all Buddhist traditions came from. Realising his purpose lay beyond monastery walls, he chose to return to the world, where he knew what it means to be successful in professional life and guide others on their own path of transformation.
Drawing from his deep training in Buddhist traditions, his Western education in Psychotherapy, Psychology, Philosophy, and many other subjects, and with decades of experience in yoga and martial arts Satthuvi developed a powerful approach to modern healing. His signature method—Deep MindShift Energy Therapy—is a 12-step process designed to dissolve subconscious blocks by working directly with the Energy Body. Simple yet transformative, it offers an alternative form of therapy for navigating the pressures of modern life.
Satthuvi also created Drance, a dynamic fusion of movement therapy and meditation, along with a mentorship program, energy healing sessions, and meditation-based courses like Meditatefulness. Through these offerings, he continues to serve others with clarity, compassion, and unwavering purpose.
What truly matters
The global pandemic cast a harsh light on fear, loss, and uncertainty—but it also amplified the need for healing and meaning. As the world was forced to slow down and reflect, Satthuvi’s teachings struck a powerful chord. His focus on transformation, inner strength, and Finding Purpose became more relevant than ever. People facing emotional and psychological turmoil turned to his guidance to find clarity, strength and purpose leading to resilience and inner peace.
Seeing the deep need for connection, Satthuvi founded The Satthuvian Creed—a global community devoted to spiritual awakening, real-world empowerment, and mutual support. It became a sanctuary for those seeking both inner peace and practical growth.
From early adversity to becoming a spiritual leader, Satthuvi has embraced life in all its contrasts. His journey is defined by a single, unshakable guiding truth about life from the perspective of deep inner Awakening—one he shares often:
“Love everything completely.”
